John Nguyen, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
John is a licensed bilingual Vietnamese speech-language pathologist. He specializes in bilingual Vietnamese assessments and treatment, early intervention, autism, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). He has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, school-based, and hospital. He is passionate about providing excellence in all aspects of the therapy experience - whether it be collaborating with families and educators, establishing good rapport with clients, or planning carryover of learned strategies through home activities and assignments.
Katrina Nguyen, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Katrina is a licensed speech-language pathologist with expertise in working with populations across educational and medical settings. She implements a family-centered approach that emphasizes on the significance of family involvement in the planning and treatment of speech-language disorders. Katrina believes in focusing on each child's uniqueness and developing treatment that appropriately addresses their individualized needs.
SERVICES
Treatment Sessions
Consultation
We provide free consultations for all potential clients. Besides working with the child and family members, we collaborate with other specialists that are involved in your child's speech and language needs.
Evaluation
We conduct comprehensive assessments to determine any speech and language impairments. Based on assessment results, we may recommend therapy and develop meaningful goals to target during therapy intervention.
Treatment
We provide individual and group therapy to improve speech and language skills. In addition, we will include you in treatment sessions so you can implement learned strategies in the home environment.
Education
We encourage parent participation in order to promote maximal therapy outcomes. We aim to provide education to you so that you feel confident about using the learned strategies in the across natural settings.

Difficulty with producing patterns of sounds (example: consonant clusters)
Apraxia
Difficulty with motor planning to produce specific sounds or oral movements

Difficulty with producing sounds due to muscle weakness and/or poor muscle control
Fluency
Difficulty with producing smooth, fluent speech due to interruptions and/or repetitions of sounds, words, and phrases
Receptive Language
Difficulty with understanding language or understanding what others have said (example: following directions)
Expressive Language
Difficulty with using vocabulary, producing sentences, and remembering words
Social Skills (Pragmatics)
Difficulty with using social language, communication skills, and understanding social rules (example: not understanding the meaning behind something that was said)
Nonverbal Communication
Difficulty with producing oral communication to convey basic wants and needs. Sign-language, picture communication, or static/dynamic devices will be trialed and implemented.
